Former Highways Agency chief joins acumen7

Archie Robertson, a well known figure in the world of transport and the environment, is currently a non-executive director of Capita Symonds Ltd. He is the former CEO of The Highways Agency and was a core director in the creation of the Environment Agency. He introduced the Traffic Officer Service to England’s motorways in 2004, along with a world class traffic management network of control centres. Passionate about making assets work better, he also introduced the use of the motorway hard shoulder to cut congestion.

When asked what attracted him to acumen7, Archie said “I’m delighted to have joined a team with such a wide range of knowledge and experience to help business. I’m eagerly looking forward to helping tackle some of today’s complex challenges through the acumen7 network, bringing my experience of major infrastructure to bear.”

With new members pending, the network is set to reach 30 during 2010.
