Overall, John has more than 20 years international experience in industrial, outsourcing and consulting businesses: manufacturing; metals; engineering; defense; services; consumer products; building products and construction.

Throughout his career John has effected major change enabling businesses to achieve increased shareholder & customer value, growth and productivity. He has managed over $2Billion of expenditure annually sourcing materials, goods and services from all over the world including various emerging markets. His outsourcing experience includes the development of make v. buy strategies, plant rationalisation programs and off-shoring. John has implemented a number of ‘blended’ supply chains delivering the cost benefits of off-shoring/low cost country sourcing (LCCS) with the service benefits of on-shoring/local sourcing. He has enabled accelerated entry into new markets and improved market penetration through dramatic reduction in product development time.

His experience in startup and M&A includes: raising $2m seed funding to $400m for an acquisition; part of the start up team that put Xchanging on path for IPO; and the integration of 3 N. American businesses creating $1bn sales.

John was educated at Cranfield University (Management Development Program), Hertfordshire University (BEng Industrial Engineering).
